Third and Fourth Press Conferences and Fifth Group Interview

The Press Center of the 19th National Congress of the CPC will hold the third and fourth Press Conferences and the fifth group interview at the Press Conference Hall, 2nd floor of the Media Center, on Saturday 21 October. Specific arrangements are as follows:

The Third Press Conference: 10:00, 21 October

Moderator: Guo Weimin, Spokesperson for the 19th National Congress of the CPC and Deputy Director of the State Council Information Office

Zhang Yijiong, Executive Vice Minister of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Central Committee, Ran Wanxiang, Vice Minister of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Central Committee, and Guo Yezhou, Vice Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, will brief the press on the united front work and the international exchanges of the CPC and answer questions from journalists.

The Fourth Press Conference: 15:00, 21 October

Moderator: Guo Weimin, Spokesperson for the 19th National Congress of the CPC and Deputy Director of the State Council Information Office

He Lifeng, Secretary of the CPC Leading Group and Chairman of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), Zhang Yong, Vice Chairman of the NDRC, and Ning Jizhe, Vice Chairman of the NDRC, will brief the press on promoting the steady, healthy and sustainable development of the Chinese economy with the guidance of the new developmental vision and answer questions from journalists.

The Fifth Group Interview:

Theme: Innovation in agricultural science and technology

1. Tang Huajun, Member of the Leading Party Group of the Ministry of Agriculture, President of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS), and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering

2. He Zhonghu, Research Fellow at the Institute of Crop Sciences of the CAAS and Director of the National Wheat Improvement Center

3. Wei Lingling, Research Fellow at the Institute of Environment and Sustainable Development in Agriculture of the CAAS and Director of the Key Laboratory of Leisure Agriculture under the Ministry of Agriculture

4. Shen Yujun, Deputy Director of the Institute of Rural Energy and Environmental Protection of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Engineering (CAAE) under the Ministry of Agriculture

5. Ling Jihe, Outstanding Grain Grower in Anyi County, Jiangxi Province, and Party Secretary of the Lvneng Farmers’ Cooperative

Journalists with the vehicle pass for the Congress may park the vehicle at the parking lot of the Media Center via the North Gate or park at the parking lot of the China Millennium Monument via the West Gate.
